How to Change Your Life with Your Thoughts and Beliefs

If your life is not as joyful as you would like it to be, it is because your thoughts and beliefs are not aligned with your desires and passions. They are not in alignment with who you were crated to be.

Did you know that you can deliberately create the reality you want using your thoughts and beliefs?  You can change your life by changing the story you are telling about your life. Change the thoughts you think and it will change your reality. Your beliefs about your reality will change.

Here are 4 tips that can help you do that:

Step 1: Use affirmations correctly

Affirmations don’t really work for people in the ways that have been taught to them, because when you have a belief like: “I’m not good enough” that has been backed up by years of proof, when you say “I’m good enough” it contradicts your own intelligence, it sounds like a lie. It makes you more aware of where you aren’t rather than closing the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

So we need to back up a little bit and be incremental. We need to place stepping stones on our road to closing the gap between where we are and where we want to be.

Here is an example: If you hold the belief that: “I am not good enough,” just saying “I am good enough” won’t work, but if you start looking for small evidences that you are good enough you can start bridging the gap.

Step 2: Come up with things you actually do believe which are on the way to the belief that “I am good enough.”

Here is an example: Instead of thinking “I’m not good enough,” think: “I am a deep thinker,” or “I am an inspirational speaker,” or “I have valuable things to share with people.” That can be a mental step toward “I am good enough.”

Those are the types of thoughts you want to be using as affirmations.

Practice beliefs (incrementally) that are closer and closer to the vibration of “I am good enough.” Pretty soon that gap will be closed and you will believe it.

Step 3: Try this experiment

Choose something that you have no emotional attachment to and spend 10 minutes a day focusing on it and visualizing it. Don’t choose something you care a lot about because if you are emotionally attached or you are desperate for this thing to manifest you will experience resistance.

For example: you could choose horses or butterflies or whatever, as long as you really aren’t attached to it at all. If for example you choose horses, then set your alarm for 10 minutes and start visualizing riding them, feeding them, stroking their manes etc. Try to visualize in a way that involves your senses (smell it, taste it, feel it). Loose yourself completely in the experience until the timer goes off. Keep this up for at least a week and you will soon find that the thing that you chose to focus on is showing up in your life in amazing ways – on bumper stickers, movies, articles etc. You will be amazed at how this will help you gain the belief that what you focus on becomes a part of your reality. Once you gain a belief in this principle you can begin to use it for other things more relevant to your desires.

Step 4: Look for new evidence of your new belief. The brain is like a scientist and you can send it out on a scavenger hunt for new proof. Once you focus on the proof – more proofs will appear. It will snowball into your experience until you are sitting in an entirely different reality.

How to Re-Write Your Life’s Script !

In order to write your life’s script, let’s start by looking at some of the major areas of your life. For this example let’s use: relationships, money, health, career, home and self (Feel free to create others). Write a paragraph about the results you want to create in that area of your life. Then write another paragraph scripting out a visualization of that area of your life as if it is already accomplished.
Here are some examples of what your script could be like:

1. RELATIONSHIPS
I will create: A huge network of people who appreciate, and are drawn to, the value I am creating in their lives; a genuine interest
in knowing, loving and helping people; abundant opportunities to socialize with so many friends, associates and partners, and close
intimate relationships of unconditional love.

My new Script: I have huge networks of friends, followers and people who are drawn to me. People are powerfully attracted to me; they see me as the nicest guy on the planet. I add massive value to their lives. I change their belief systems and empower them to find their life’s purpose. I find great joy in making a huge impact on people’s lives. I have fun with people.

2. MONEY
I will create: A life filled with exciting opportunities to add massive value to people’s lives; ways to help them fulfill their purposes; multiple and massive streams of income, flowing easily, from things that inspire me.

My new script: Money is pouring in from many abundant streams and opportunities. It is really easy and fun to make massive amounts of money doing things that inspire me; things that are fun; things I love doing. Time seems to not exist when I do them. It doesn’t feel like work at all. New and exciting opportunities are coming to me faster than I can imagine. The value I create for others comes back to me many times over. I have sown seeds in amazing abundance, and I am reaping a harvest that is beyond comprehension.

3. HEALTH
I will create: Alignment, radiant health, peace of mind, inspiration, energy, joy, enthusiasm, fitness and balance.

My new script: I live an inspired life. I live at a peaceful pace. I experience joy and balance. I am energetic, balanced and aligned with my divine purpose. I feed my body with natural foods that produce optimal health and energy. I love exercising.

Use these examples to create a new vision for your life of Power, Passion and True Success.

How to Live the Life of Your Dreams! 5 Tips to consider!


Dreams

One of my coaching clients told me that a friend of hers called her “a big dreamer” when she shared her goals. I was amazed to hear how her feelings were very hurt by the reaction of her friend.  I helped her re-frame the situation by explaining that her friend had given her a great compliment, even though that wasn’t her intention.

Unfortunately, we are often taught by parents, teachers and society to stop dreaming. I say that dreams are Divine signatures of what you were created to be. Your dreams are placed in your soul by your creator. They are intended inspire you to greatness!  Your dreams are signs of your Divine Purpose!

Here are some things to consider when it comes to your dreams:

1. What gives you a sense of gratitude? When you are living your dreams you can’t help but feel gratitude!

2. What gives you energy? Following your dreams will energize you like nothing else. Your dreams flow from your Divine Source as a high-frequency energy.

3. What can you do better than anyone else? Your dreams are tied to a Divine Purpose that is uniquely designed for you. Something you can do in a way no one else can.

4. What is the deepest expression of your heart and soul? This is your gift to humanity – your way of serving others in a way that deeply matters.

5. What makes you feel the greatest passion? Your dreams are exciting, they make you into a visionary and inspire you to dream big.

The most successful people in the world are visionaries. They are people who have refused to stop dreaming.  Every great accomplishment started as a dream in someone’s imagination. Dreaming is the greatest creative faculty God has endowed us with!

How to Change Limiting Beliefs

Do you currently have a glass ceiling over your level of success? If so, there are obstacles deep inside you that are holding you back. These obstacles are limiting beliefs. These beliefs are acting as opposing intentions that block your dreams from manifesting.

First, let’s get clear about what limiting beliefs really are. A limiting belief is a self-created “truth” that prevents you from following your dreams and manifesting your deepest desires. In other words, it’s an obstacle that stands between you and your Divine Purpose.

The important thing to remember is that limiting beliefs are “self-created”? They are! The seeds for some of your limiting beliefs might have been planted in your mind by other people, but you ultimately nurtured them and allowed them to blossom in your life, even if you did it subconsciously.

Whether they originated from your own negative thoughts, or from someone else’s influence, they amount to the same thing: they are inner obstacles that will hold you back from the life you are intended for.

Remember how the Law of Attraction works!  You think, you feel, you attract.

A belief is nothing more than a thought you have focused on and reinforced dozens and dozens of times – so it eventually becomes your “truth”. Your beliefs influence your thoughts; your thoughts trigger your emotions, and your emotions broadcast your vibrational frequency!

Here are some tips that might help:

1. Awareness – identify limiting beliefs

Before you can change your limiting beliefs, you need to know what they are. But the trouble with most limiting beliefs is that they are subconscious. You rarely, if ever, think about them consciously, but they run silently in the background, influencing your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Here is an exercise that will help you identify some of your limiting beliefs. On a piece of paper, write the words: “I would like to _____________ (write in the thing that you most desire).  At the end of that statement, write the word, “but.” Then insert the reasons why it can’t be done.

Here is an example. “I would like to write a book, but I’m not famous enough for people to want to buy it.

Continue to write out a list of all the things that come to mind.

  • No one would want to read anything I wrote.
  • It would be way too hard!
  • I’m not knowledgeable enough to do that
  • I’m not an expert.
  • I don’t know where to start.

2. Meditation

The best way to change limiting beliefs is to use meditation. In a meditative state your subconscious mind is open to suggestions and affirmations. With repetition meditation can assist you in re-writing your subconscious blueprint.

Remember that a belief is nothing more than a self-created “truth” – a thought that you have continued to focus on and reinforce, sometimes for years.

But it won’t take years to clear your limiting beliefs. If you’re very consistent with your efforts, you can change a limiting belief in days – maybe a few weeks for extremely strong beliefs.

3. Reframing

Ronald Reagan was a master re-framer. Once, when he was accused by his opponent of being too old to run for president, he reframed their accusation by saying: “Oh, that’s just their youth and inexperience talking. We won’t hold it against them.” He had a natural ability to turn things around and put a new positive energy to them.

Have you ever noticed how different the world looks from the window of an airplane at 23,000 feet? The vantage point from which we see things has a great effect on what we believe, think and feel about things. If we are only seeing things from a vantage point of looking up at our huge pile of problems, we are seeing limited options, and we are going to feel discouraged. Remember, the language the Universe understands is the language of emotion. Emotions are the vibrational signal we send and that is what gets mirrored back into our lives. What if we could see our situation from 23,000 feet instead of from deep inside our pile of problems?

Words like: “What if______?” and “How can I______?” are used to form reframing question.  They open the Reticular Activating System in our brains to new possibilities.

How to use Imagination to Connect to Abundance

One of the greatest truths I’ve ever learned is that our outer-world is a perfect reflection of our inner-world. If you are not experiencing abundance in your outer world it is because there is inner work that needs to be done first.

If you want more financial abundance in your life it won’t happen by learing some new money-making technique. If that were true you would already have the financial abundance you want.

Changing our inner-world begins with the power of our imagination. The human mind has powerful God-given creative powers.  Here are 4 steps that will help you unleash the mental power to align with greater abundance.

Step one: Ask yourself, “If I made $___________ a year what would I enjoy doing? What would I wear? Where would I live? Write down your answers to these questions in as much detail as you possibly can.

Step two: Write a new script and rehearse it mentally. Read it! Feel it! Pretend you are a famous actor and you are getting paid $10 million dollars to play the part. The brain makes repetition real!

Step three: Ask yourself, “What would I have to believe about myself for this to be true?” Write down all the beliefs you will need to adopt.

Step Four: Ask yourself, “What can I offer to others?” This is where you look at your innate gifts and talents – your Divine Purpose, and follow your passion. Write down things you are deeply passionate about and how you can use your unique gifts to offer something to others.

Your subconscious mind has the  capacity to connect you to unlimited abundance if you align with it through the power of your imagination!
