How to Know What You Really Want!

money no object

Unfortunately, most people base their life decisions on two things: 1. Time and 2. money. The problem with that is that 90% of us end up miserable – dreading what we do for  40 – 50 hours every week. We long to get those hours over with so we can get back to something that feels purposeful. Too many people end up living to help someone else reach their dream instead of following the passion that resonates inside of them. In other words, they resist their Divine Purpose.

I think it is important to ask yourself this question: “If time and money weren’t an issue, what would I do?” If it isn’t what you are doing now it is time to focus on what you were “born to do”. All of us were born with one or two  innate gifts and talents that flow easily and freely from us if we allow them to emerge. On the other hand, most of us will probably be mediocre in almost everything else. That’s why it’s so important to know what you really want.

Here are a few tips that might help you know what you really want:

1. Make a list of what it is you don’t want – sometimes we have to identify what we absolutely don’t want in order to know what it is that makes our heart sing. Often what we want is the just opposite of  what we don’t want.

2. Pay attention to what it is you envy – Pay attention to the people you come in contact with who seem the most happy. What is it they have that makes them that way. That can be a strong indication of what you truly desire.

3. Realize that material things are probably not what you really want. Most likely what you really want are the feelings you believe those material things will bring, like more freedom, more  time, more abundance, less stress, more love etc.

4. Don’t be afraid to admit that happiness is what you really want. I think sometimes we are afraid that if we focus solely on happiness we will miss out on money and the comforts of life. When you make happiness your goal you are not limiting the Universe as to how to bring that to you.

Try this when you’re doing your visualizations:

Instead of visualizing how that big house and tons of money will come to you. Visualize what it would be like for you to be really happy. Put yourself in the vision place of being really, really happy. If you need to remember a time when you were, then do it. Then see how the Universe knocks itself out to deliver those things to you.

As always I welcome your thoughts and comments!

How to Know Your Divine Purpose!

cropped-got-purpose1.jpg

“The world is nourished by people’s happiness.” Pablo Coelho

About a year and a half ago, I read a book that had a life-changing affect on me. It is a book written by Paulo Coelho and it is titled “The Alchemist.” As I read it I came to a understand, in a powerful way,  that there is a Divine Purpose for my life, or as Paulo calls it, a Personal Legend.  The most important thing we can do in this life is discover what that purpose is and touch people’s lives with it.

People often ask me, “How do I know what my Divine Purpose is?” Here are some tips that will help you with that process:

1. Your Divine Purpose is planted in your DNA. It is something you have always desired to do. Paulo Coelho says: “That desire originated in the soul of the universe.”

2. Your Divine Purpose is something that brings great happiness. It is something that flows from you joyfully and effortlessly when you are aligned with it.

3. Ask yourself: “What did I loved to do as a child?” Children automatically know what brings them happiness. They know what they are good at. They have no limiting beliefs and they aren’t afraid to dream. People learn early in life, what their reason for being is.

4. Your Divine Purpose will never be found by following someone else’s dream. Too many people are spending their lives living to make someone else happy. Your purpose is a divine gift that innately flows from you.

5. Your Divine Purpose is not something you have to force to happen. You don’t have to be desperate. When you desire something with all your heart, the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.

Once you’ve discovered your Divine Purpose pursue it!. Unfortunately, many people choose not to follow their dreams and passions because society teaches them to stop dreaming.

How to Ignite the Law of Attraction with Gratitude!

law of attraction - jack canfield

Jack Canfild teaches that if you want to live the Law of Attraction, appreciation should be incorporated into your daily living.

Appreciation is the oxygen that breathes life into the three-step Law of Attraction process. It turns the spark of your desire into a full-blown flame that effortlessly attracts the things you want like moths to a candle.

Three Steps to Attract What You Want

The first step of the Law of Attraction is quick and easy: Ask.  As soon as you become aware of a desire, announce it to the universe. State your intention out loud, write it down, post a picture of what you want on a vision board, or simply think, “I want that!”

The next step is Believe. Believe that you can have the thing you want, and then release your desire to the universe. Trust that you’ll receive what you want or something better. Either way, the decision is in the universe’s hands. Detachment from the outcome occurs when you have total faith that the universe will give you exactly what is perfect for you right here, right now.

Affirmations are used to remove doubt about whether you’ll get or you deserve what you want. An affirmation describes your goal as already complete. It affirms what you want vs. what you don’t want. It also captures how you feel when celebrating your goal. This allows you to feel the actual feelings you’ll experience upon achieving your goal. For example, “I am feeling light and alive at my perfect body weight of one thirty-five.

Appreciation works its magic during the final step – Receive. Appreciation is one of the highest emotional states you can be in. It is the state of abundance. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. If you are grateful for what you have already received, you will attract more for which you can be grateful.

Think for a moment about your own experience with holiday gift giving. When relatives show sincere pleasure and appreciation for the gifts you give, no matter how simple, you want to shower them with even more. Gift giving becomes a delight for you as much as for the recipients. Contrast this with people who don’t acknowledge your presents or who dismiss them as not big enough, impressive enough, or “right” enough. Giving gifts to these individuals becomes an obligation. You don’t spend hours searching for the perfect gift. You settle for an item that’s adequate.

The universe operates in a similar way. Its best gifts go to individuals who vibrate at the highest levels of appreciation for the gifts they’ve already received.

To create the vibrational match with what you want, live in the feeling space of already possessing the things you want. Appreciate what you already have, and you’ll be vibrating in the same state of gratitude you’ll be in when the universe delivers what you want.

Appreciate the Smallest Blessings

Activate your gratitude by acknowledging the gifts most people take for granted.

If you have food in your refrigerator (meaning that you have electricity), clothes in your closet and a roof over your head, you are better off than 75 percent of the world’s population. If you eat three meals a day, you are far better off than the 1 billion people on the planet who eat once a day at most. Celebrate these simple blessings.

Do you have a phone? Be grateful – millions don’t. How about a car that allows you to travel to work or to explore the country? Is your family healthy? Do you have a computer and Internet access to stay in touch with the world, get access to education, and perform work for which you are paid? Do you have clean water to drink? These daily conveniences are gifts that most people in the world do not enjoy.

Daily Appreciation Habits

Here are five easy ways to make appreciation part of your daily routine:

Take 7 minutes each morning to write down all you appreciate. Starting your day this way primes you to be receptive and grateful for everything your day will bring.

Carry a physical token of gratitude in your pocket, such as a stone, crystal or some other small item. As you reach into your pocket throughout the day and feel the token, use it as a reminder to stop, breathe and take a moment to fully experience the emotion of gratitude.

Appreciate at least 3 people every day. Most people enjoy receiving verbal appreciation. But written notes are also nice because they can be saved and re-read. (For ideas on expressing uncommon appreciation, click here.)

Play the Appreciation Game. As the saying goes, “Every cloud has a silver lining.” Look for the good in all situations. When my wife was in a car accident a few years ago, she could have chosen to berate herself or question her judgment. Instead, she focused on her gratitude for suffering only minor injuries and for the help she received from other drivers.

Appreciate yourself. We all need acknowledgement, but the most important acknowledgement is what we give ourselves. In addition to celebrating your big successes, acknowledge your small daily successes, too. During my annual Breakthrough to Success training, I assign the Mirror Exercise as homework because your subconscious mind needs positive encouragement to pursue further achievements and to change any negative beliefs you hold toward praise and accomplishment. This powerful exercise requires you to appreciate yourself for the day’s accomplishments while talking to yourself in a mirror. For more detailed instructions and guidance for the Mirror Exercise, see page 199-201 of The Success Principles.

Appreciation Is Not Human Nature

Many people find that it requires great diligence to cultivate an attitude of appreciation. We are culturally conditioned to focus on what we don’t have, rather than appreciating what we’ve already received.

Decades ago, the University of Chicago conducted a fascinating study into appreciation. Researchers took soldiers who had recently returned from the World War II Pacific Theater and housed them in Quonset huts on campus. At first, the men were delighted with their housing, because they were ecstatic to be off the battlefield. After about 30 days, however, they started to complain about their Quonset huts. Rather than being grateful for a simple, yet safe, place to live, they began to focus on what they didn’t have. They became dissatisfied with not having more comfortable quarters.

It may not feel natural at first to focus on appreciating what you already have. But by faithfully using the appreciation exercises outlined in this article, you’ll change your conditioning. Giving thanks will become more than an occasional exercise. It will become a daily discipline that allows you to vibrate in more of what you want from life.

How to Get the Law of Attraction to Actually Work!

universal laws

As I began trying to apply Universal laws, like the law of attraction,  I continually slipped back into trying to make my own success happen, instead of allowing it to flow. The idea of “allowing” was completely foreign to me.

Christy Whiman haas taught me that most people don’t understand is that there are other Universal Laws that must be applied in conjunction with the Law of Attraction in order for it to actually work the way you want it to. They involve letting the universe do it’s work instead of us trying to make it work. They help us “try less” and “trust more.”

Here are some of the other laws to begin implementing:

1. The Law of allowing – Which has to do with removing all resistance. Notice when you are feeling anxious or constricted, and allow the flow of source energy.

2. The Law of deliberate creation – Which has to do with your ability to create the life you desire. You have the powere to choose your vibrational frequency!

3. The Law of sufficiency and abundance – Which has to do with the Universe having no shortage, lack or limitations. As you align your mind with abundance, your body actually vibrates in abundance.

4.  The Law of detachment – Teaches us to focus on our intention without the restriction of doubt, desperation or time frames. Don’t worry about “when” or “how!”

5. The Law of pure potentiality – Which has to do with the infinite potential for things to be created and manifested. We have been endowed with awesome God-given mental creative powers!

6.  The Law of polarity – Which means there are polar opposites of everything that we focus on. This means whenever we think about anything that we desire – whether it’s money, success, intimacy, fun, fulfillment – we can choose to focus either on its presence, or on its absence. For alignment to take place, choose thoughts and emotions that have a high (or positive) frequency.

Practice applying these laws and good things will manifest more effortlessly in your life!

As alway, please share your thoughts and experiences.

Thanks, Randy

How to understand the Law of Attraction – Universal Laws!

universe

Most people today are familiar with the Law of Attraction, because of the popular movie “the Secret,” but the movie didn’t tell the whole story. Most people aren’t aware that there are other universal laws that need to be understood in order for the Law of Attraction to bring the results they desire. In order to reap the benefits of one law it’s important to understand what the other universal laws are and how they work together.

Here are a few other laws and how they compliment each other:

1. Law of attraction – the universe will mirror back to you an exact match for the vibrational frequency of your thoughts and emotions.

2. Law of allowing – letting go and allowing universal laws to work in their own time, without mental resistance or physical constriction.

3. Law of deliberate creation– your power to choose what you will believe, think and feel – choosing your vibrational frequency.

4. Law of sufficiency and abundance – understanding that there is no lack in the Universe and we are connected to the source of all abundance. As your mind becomes attuned to abundance, your body will actually vibrate in abundance.

5. Law of detachment– being able to focus on an intention without trying to “make things happen” – remaining detached from the results.

6. Law of pure potentiality–  the Universe has the potential for infinite possibilites that are waiting to manifest.

7. Law of polarity – anything that the mind can conceive, has polar opposites that can be focused on. If we take money as an example, one polar extreme is poverty while the other is wealth.

These laws all work together, but the one law that brings them all together is the “law of sufficiency and abundance,” because if your mind is attuned to abundance then your body literally vibrates with abundance.

If you’re in a place of allowing, you’re vibrating a signal of abundance, you’re in a place of total detachment,

Here are some tips  for remaining detached and allowing these laws to work.

It’s kind of like going to a restaurant,

1. You ask the waiter or waitress for your order (asking).

2. Then you let go and let the restaurant staff do their work (allowing).

3. You don’t need to keep asking them when the order is coming (detachment).

4. Be excited to receive your order. Visualize the enjoyment you will  feel when the order arrives (gratitude).

I hope this post has been helpful and inspiring. Please take a minute and share your thoughts on “Universal Laws.”
